Steel City Media has a rare On-Air Talent opportunity for the radio station Q104 (KBEQ). They are seeking a creative, energetic, and passionate On-Air personality to join our team! As an On-Air talent, you will be the voice that connects with our audience, delivering engaging content, curating great music, and creating a memorable experience for listeners. If you're enthusiastic about music, have a knack for live broadcasting, and love interacting with listeners, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Host live radio shows, providing entertainment, music, and commentary.
- Conduct interviews, manage listener call-ins, and create engaging segments.
- Ensure smooth operation of all on-air systems and equipment during live broadcasts.
- Maintain the station’s voice, style, and brand consistency.
- Collaborate with production, marketing, and other departments to create innovative content.
- Stay updated on music trends, news, and events relevant to our station format.
- Handle emergency situations, including technical difficulties or unforeseen programming changes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience On-Air or in a similar broadcasting role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of radio equipment and broadcasting software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to engage and connect with a diverse audience.
- A passion for music and an in-depth knowledge of various genres.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible schedule and availability to work evenings, weekends, or holidays.
- Creative, energetic, and able to think on your feet.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with social media platforms and engaging listeners online.
- Knowledge of audio editing software and production tools.
- Previous on-air radio experience with a similar audience.
