As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk at Steel City Tap Co, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products within our manufacturing facility. This position is essential to our mission of delivering exceptional products efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damages, and verify accuracy against purchase orders.
- Coordinate the shipping of finished products to customers, ensuring timely delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipping and receiving activities.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock.
- Operate reach trucks and pallet jacks safely to move materials within the warehouse.
- Assist in order fulfillment by picking and packing products according to specifications.
- Perform regular inventory counts to ensure stock accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse operations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in shipping and receiving roles within a distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and order fulfillment processes.
- Ability to operate reach trucks and pallet jacks safely; certification preferred but not required.
- Basic math skills for accurate inventory tracking and order processing.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Familiarity with MRP systems is a plus but not mandatory.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members.
