Caster Mechanical Engineer

Division

Responsibilities

• Provide support for all mechanical repair personnel
• Investigate/troubleshoot mechanical problems or equipment failures
• Establish/maintain infrastructure for mechanical maintenance and continuous improvement
• Interfacing with operations on continuous process improvements
• Management of costs as it relates to spare parts, repairs, contractors, vendors, etc.
• Manage capital projects

Qualifications

• 4 year Engineering or Engineering Technology degree
• Strong computer skills (Auto CAD, SolidWorks)
• Competency in Microsoft Office
• Work without direct supervision (self-motivated)
• Multi-task and manage projects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn and train others
• Must be able to work collaboratively and constructively with Operations, Maintenance, and other departments
• Problem-solving and cost management skills
• Outstanding work record
• Willingness to work unscheduled hours/days
• Strong work ethic, self-starter, positive outlook, team player

Preferred

• Caster/LMF knowledge and experience
• Combustion Controls experience
• High level of planning, project management, and troubleshooting skills
