Controls Technician
Responsibilities
- Program, Troubleshoot/Repair, and Maintain
- Foundry equipment and automation cells
- Alan Bradley Controls systems
- 480V 3 phase power distribution
- Install and repair industrial electronic equipment
- Process control systems
- VFD's and soft starts
- Plant and local communication networks
- Troubleshoot various hardware versions of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, network switches, process camera systems
- Provide shift support and leadership as it relates to electrical safety, controls, and equipment operation
- Perform safety and continuous improvement projects, engage in and fully support all TCOS initiatives
- Assist/lead electrical/controls integration of capital projects throughout the plant
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2 years PLC / automation experience
- Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude and problem solving
- Must be able to read electrical schematics and PLC programming
- Ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced, team-orientated work environment
- Willingness to work in cold/hot environment
Preferred
- Robotic Experience: Motoman/Yaskawa and ABB
- 3-5 years maintenance experience
- Ability to read hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
- Auto Cad experience
- Project leadership experience
- Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field
- Robotic Automation
- Control Safety Systems
