Overview
Description: The DSM manages a specific territory, customers in that territory and job specific bids for those customers. The DSM is responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships as well as staying on top of the current market conditions, competition and New Millennium pricing strategies. This position is for the South Florida territory.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining relationships with customers
- Prospecting to seek and find new customers
- Educate potential customers on New Millennium products
- Communication and coordination with internal personnel
- Input and maintenance of Salesforce system
- Material takeoffs from construction drawings
- Follow up and feedback on bid projects
- Scheduled travel throughout assigned territory on a regular basis
- Attend various company meetings as required
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Must be willing to relocate to South Florida territory.
- Must be organized and able to manage time effectively
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to read construction documents, specs, addendums, etc.
- Ability to multi-task, negotiate and close deals
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, PDF software, ftp sites, etc.
Preferred:
- Prior sales experience
- Familiarity with Steel Joist Institute (SJI), Steel Deck Institute (SDI) and American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) standards
- Experience with Customer Relationship Management software (e.g. – Salesforce)
- Experience in the steel industry
