Steel Dynamics Summer Internship

This internship program offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in structural engineering, working on various projects involving steel structures design and development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design steel joists, joist girders, and steel decking according to industry standards.
2. Create roof and floor designs for retail buildings, schools, and warehouses.
3. Develop structural steel designs and connections that meet the requirements of AISC, AISI, SJI, and SDI codes and specifications.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of education completed towards a B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
• Prior work experience is preferred but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for this role.
