The Long Products Division, SWVA Kentucky, LLC has an immediate opening for a Lab Technician. We are looking for a dynamic, organized, and motivated person to join our team.
Responsibilities
The duties of the Lab Tech are to operate a carbon analyzer and two spectrometers to obtain metal chemistries; communicate with caster crews in the Melt Shop; operate tensile machine to accomplish physical testing; and trouble shoot testing equipment.

- Strong basic math skills
- Ability to trouble shoot mechanical equipment
- Ability to operate a PC using windows - based system
- Ability and willingness to work a 56 - hour rotating shift
- Perform other duties as required
