We are seeking a pioneering QA Engineer to establish and lead our quality assurance practice. As our first QA hire, you will be responsible for building our QA processes from the ground up, with a particular focus on implementing automated testing using Ascential Test and Playwright testing suite. This is a unique opportunity to shape the quality culture and testing practices of our team.
Responsibilities
- Establish and implement QA processes, standards, and best practices from the ground up
- Design and build the testing infrastructure and framework using Playwright and Ascential Test
- Create comprehensive testing strategies aligned with business objectives
- Develop automated test suites and continuous integration pipelines
- Define quality metrics and establish reporting processes
- Create documentation for QA processes and procedures
- Train and mentor future QA team members
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate quality practices into the development lifecycle
- Evaluate and recommend QA tools and technologies
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
- Proven experience with Playwright testing suite
- Demonstrated experience with Ascential Test Suite
- Track record of establishing QA processes and best practices
- Experience building testing frameworks and infrastructure from scratch
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (C#, .NET, or Python preferred)
Preferred
- Expert-level experience with Playwright testing suite
- Proficiency in Ascential Test methodologies and implementation
- Experience with version control systems (Git)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and implementation
- Expertise in testing methodologies (TDD, BDD)
- Experience with bug tracking and test management tools
- API testing experience
- Performance testing knowledge
