Aluminum Dynamics LLC., is seeking an experienced Quality System (QS) Supervisor for our state-of-the-art Aluminum Rolling Mill, located in the Golden Triangle Region of Mississippi. The incumbent to this position will become the Quality System expert to develop and document the production processes for quality system while implementing the correct procedures to ensure the quality standards will be maintained. QS Supervisor will interact with process and product engineers, operators and other cross-functional team members to identify opportunities to meet customer requirements with improved quality, product performance and capability.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the creation, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with ISO, IATF, and other OEM quality program requirements.
- Serve as the primary quality system contact for OEM and other customers. Understand PPAP, FMEA and other customer qualification requirements, work with plant metallurgists to ensure product qualification plans meet customer expectations.
- Conduct and participate in regular internal process audits to verify compliance with quality standards.
- Manage QMS documentation, including procedures, quality work instructions, SOPs, and records.
- Provide training to ensure employee awareness of quality policies, objectives, and their roles within the QMS across the plant.
- Ensure that all documents are up-to-date, accessible, and aligned with ISO, IATF, and customer quality requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality management actions, integrating quality practices into daily business operations, and implementing corrective and preventive measures.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of company policies and procedures related to Quality System.
- Work closely with cross-functional team members to identify and address quality-related issues promptly for optimal business outcomes.
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in engineering, quality management, or industrial technology
- 5 years of experience in Quality System, preferably within the aluminum sheet metal industry for automotive, Industrial products and beverage packaging
- Auditing experience with ISO, IATF and other applicable OEM standards
- Proficiency in: Office programs, and statistical data analysis tools
- Lean manufacturing experience with continuous improvement for business impact and innovation
- Agile project implementation, good communication skills, and experience in matrix organization
- Strong leadership, verbal & written communications, and presentation skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot deviations from quality standards
