- Operate tow motor in a safe and efficient manner, complying with safety rules and regulations.
- Unload material from trucks and store material in an orderly manner.
- Manage the flow of material from preparation to shipment.
- Prepares material to be shipped.
- Maintains and operates appropriate equipment to ensure the safe transport and storage of all materials.
- Uses Software to track, check, and route orders.
- Inventory materials and supply workers with materials as needed.
- Load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, work tables, trucks, or cranes.
- Prepares paperwork from receiving to inventory control for timely data entry.
- Executes movement of material from receiving to the yard in an efficient, effective, and safe manner.
- Performs the supplying of materials to fabrication and stages material for assembly.
- Ensures materials are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety procedures.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Detect faulty operation of equipment and/or defective materials and notify supervisors/maintenance department.
- Operate equipment safely, and use safe work habits.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Participate in all company training.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety rules. Conduct self at all times in a professional, ethical, and courteous manner as a representative of Steel Fab.
