Quality Control Inspection in the production realm to determine and ensure that the qualities of raw materials that are in process and/or completed product are of standard and/or above quality specifications.

- Identify critical points or hold points in the fabrication and installation processes and specify testing procedures to be used at these points.
- Perform visual weld inspections to specified code.
- Perform dimensional inspections to approved shop drawings, codes, and specifications.
- Monitor the Welders (i.e., preheat, welding parameters, welding positions).
- Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to management and staff.
- Communicate quality control information to all relevant departments.
- Document final inspections, which include dimensional, weld, material finishes, and coatings.
- Evaluate testing methods and procedures to determine how they may be improved.
- Identify quality problems and recommend solutions.
- Monitor testing procedures to ensure that all tests are performed according to established item specifications, standard test methods, or protocols.
- Assist fitters and welders on shop floor with problem-solving.
- Must be able to work overtime when needed.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements. Conduct self at all times in a professional, ethical, and courteous manner as a representative of Steel Fab Enterprises, Inc.
- Three to five years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with N.D.T. processes (VT and MT).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.

- Ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical information, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, including the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook; FabSuite software a plus)
- Ability to effectively obtain and retain information; Ability to multi-task to above average degree.
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and employees.
