Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Water Jet Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of our water jet machine. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Duties
- Operate and monitor water jet equipment to ensure efficient operation.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair machinery as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections of parts and equipment using tools such as calipers and tape measure.
- Fabricate components as required.
- Load dxf files into machine, edit files, and run machine without supervision.
- Collaborate with team members to complete orders.
- Operate forklifts safely for material handling tasks.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in operating a waterjet machine.
- Basic math skills and ability to read calipers and tape measure.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy materials.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors.
- A commitment to safety protocols and environmental regulations is essential.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 60 per week
