Job Description

We are seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Welder to join our manufacturing team in Oakland Park. As a skilled welder, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures using various welding techniques while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

• Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications accurately
• Set up welding equipment and maintain proper safety protocols
• Inspect materials, structures, and products to ensure quality standards are met
• Measure and cut materials according to specifications
• Maintain welding equipment and work area
• Document completed work and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on schedule
• Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional welding experience
• Demonstrated proficiency in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding techniques
• Experience working with various metals and materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Strong knowledge of welding safety procedures and equipment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• AWS certification preferred
• Valid welding certification
• Proven ability to maintain quality standards and attention to detail
• Basic math skills and ability to take accurate measurements
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
• Knowledge of welding codes and quality control procedures
• Experience with hand and power tools
