Project Manager/Sales

Job Summary
The Project Manager is responsible for taking projects from inception to completion. This position will be heavily involved in the sales process, scheduling, overseeing the production process, and timely completion of the fabricated project. This role requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of fabrication techniques, project management, and welding fabrication estimating. The ideal candidate will have experience with various software tools and methodologies to enhance productivity and accuracy in project execution.

Responsibilities

• Involved in the Sales Process
• Communication between Steel Jaw and customer
• Oversee projects by working with shop manager and fabrication team to ensure high-quality production standards.
• Develop and implement fabrication schedules
• Review project specifications and schematics to determine fabrication requirements.
• Involve in the reading and interpretation of blueprints to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Working with engineers and details across organizations
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality assurance measures throughout the fabrication process as well as on-site installations.
• Maintain effective communication with upper management regarding project progress, challenges, and solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a managerial role within a welding fabrication, heavy industrial, or structural steel construction environment.
• Strong project management skills with proficiency in computer programs
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks is a plus.
• Excellent estimating skills to ensure accurate budgeting for projects.
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and performance improvement.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with various departments and stakeholders.
• A solid understanding of contract management related to fabrication projects.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
