Reporting Relationship
The Corporate Traffic Coordinator reports to the Director of Purchasing.
General Responsibilities
SHIPPING
- Calculate freight rates for requested quotes from sales and Customers.
- Calculate any prepaid and add freight rates
- Enter information and receiving into JD Edwards programming
- Check Shipping schedule with backlog and make necessary adjustments.
- (WI locations only) Coordinate Roehl shipping and trailers
- Check backlog for any unshipped jobs in current week
- Go through upcoming production week’s jobs and complete necessary customer notification
- Look at coordination between plants, multiple truckloads, special shipping-packaging specification and delivery dates
- Does all scheduling and shipping UPS and FedEx shipments
- Freight Claims – Evans, Fedex and UPS
- Enter Carrier and Cost/Price information into Traffic Tab (Shipping Program)
- Attend Weekly Production Meetings as needed. Weekly Supply Chain L10 Meeting
- Completes Evans invoicing for all SK Plants and WSI.
- Produces Capacity Stickers as needed for product for NL & SP.
- Sets up all of the Walmart Outside Purchases using the WM Traffic website or advises the vendor which LTL Walmart requires.
- Sets up RGA shipments that SK is paying for, inbound and outbound.
- Sets up the loads going to the Galvanizer and outbound to end user if SK is paying for it.
- Audit and Approve transportation invoices.
- Work with Finance team on invoices and payments
- Generate and process CDL’s
- All other shipping duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Required
- Associate’s Degree in Logistics or equivalent experience
- Familiar with JD Edwards system or ability to train for use
- Experience in scheduling
