What are the responsibilities and job description for the Metal Building Project Detailer position at Steel & Metal Systems?
Steel & Metal Systems Inc. (SAMS) designs, sells, manufactures and constructs mini storage metal buildings. SAMS is looking for a Metal Building Project Detailer to work in our Blackshear, GA location. The Metal Building Project detailer will be responsible for detailing metal building construction projects through completion, which includes but is not limited to reviewing blueprints and architectural drawings, performing detailed cut-lists and take-offs from blueprints, keeping projects on schedule, and properly communicating with all parties involved. This job is performed at the Blackshear GA office and is not a remote or online job.
This position requires basic construction knowledge and the ability to read and understand blueprints. Math and computer skills are very important, as well as a strong problem-solving ability and keen attention to detail. Experience performing construction "take-offs" or cut-lists from blueprints is desired. This person must possess strong organizational skills, the ability to aggressively follow-up with all aspects of the job, and the ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing. Skills:
Organizational, planning and time management skills are a must.
Ability to read and understand blueprints.
Excellent oral and written communications skills
General knowledge of the construction industry
Proficient in all Microsoft programs.
Other Requirements:
Architectural Drafting experience is a plus.
Metal building experience is a plus.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Experience level: 2 years preferred
Scheduled Shift: 8-hour shift, Day Shift, Monday to Friday
Overtime as needed
