Position Summary:
The ERP Avante Support Specialist role will support the planning, designing, developing and implementation of practical business solutions for our ERP system. This role will require working with support staff, contractors, vendors, and business partners to implement best-of-class solutions. This role will oversee the application change management process and committee.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Business Partnering
Ø Monitor IT helpdesk application request queue.
Ø Tier 3 support for application issues.
Ø Primary support for Avante ERP system
Ø Software Vendor relations.
Ø Application Support Partner relations
Ø Regular communication updates to IT Manager
Ø Basic Project Management tracking and reporting
Ø Gathering and negotiating quotes from local vendors for software projects or updates
Ø Change Committee leader
Performance, Metrics & Reporting
Ø Develop or maintain IT documentation for software maintenance, development and work instructions.
Ø Provides technical support via phone or email to corporate and remote users of computer applications.
Ø Lead projects for software upgrades or installations
Ø Assign and Manage software support requests.
Ø Recommend fundamental changes to system configurations to prevent recurrences.
Ø Provides feedback on problematic trends and patterns in technical support to team lead and/or supervisor.
Ø Advanced understanding of general business to application relationships
Ø Lead application testing procedures and validation
