Responsibilities

Financial

Work with Director of Lasorda Legacy Academy and Steel Sports CFO to plan, implement, and approve Steel Sports budgets during the budget planning process.

Create, monitor, and then execute the financial budgets of the Cafe.

Create staff schedule and monitor / manage staffing costs

Monitor product costs and adjust pricing as necessary.

Work with current vendors and / or bring in new vendors as necessary.

Provide month end reports to accounting department on a timely basis.

Logistics

Develop menus for the cafe

Maintain a current Food Managers Certificate

Maintain all permits

Ensure that all kitchen staff maintain a current Food Managers Certificate

Identify staffing needs and recruit as needed.

Ensure that staff are trained properly (customer service, food handling, daily operations, etc.)

Create weekly staff schedule based on event schedules.

Create product orders based on inventory levels and event sizes.

Receive product orders and ensure that orders are complete.

Prepare food (as needed)

Ensure proper operation of all equipment.

Ensure that the Caf / Concessions are always operating within Board of Health Standards or better.

Maintain the Yellowdog Inventory Software Platform.

Maintain the Microsan POS System.

All other duties as assigned.

The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities require by this job include close vision, distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
