Summary
We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Steel Pro, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment. Support routine maintenance PM's in industrial manufacturing facility. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring operational efficiency and supporting our commitment to delivering exceptional products to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Installs machinery and equipment according to general arrangement layout plans, blueprints, specifications, and other drawings in an industrial environment.
- Dismantles and repairs machinery and equipment.
- Moves machinery and equipment using winches, jacks, hoists, dollies, rollers, and trucks. Use of all rigging equipment.
- Assembles and installs machinery and equipment.
- Constructs foundations for machines using hand tools and building materials, such as wood, cement, and steel.
- Set base plates to line and level and install grout beneath them.
- Align machines and equipment using optical and laser alignment equipment.
- Maintaining a safe work area for all.
- Helps Maintain Preventative maintenance practices as needed.
- Maintain a clean work area in a food grade environment
- Experience in rigging is a big plus
- Performing routine maintenance. Tasks vary from Changing filters to control valve upgrade.
- Demo of piping / piping install.
- Concrete floor repair
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Millwright or similar role in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and logic controllers.
- Ability to analyze mechanical problems and develop effective solutions.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, hoists, jacks, squares, rules, scales, dial indicators, micrometers, optical levels, and plumb bobs
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a team.
- Strong safety skills, hazard assessment, confined space, elevated works, hot work, LTT
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications are preferred.
