Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Powder Coater to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying powder coatings to various metal surfaces, ensuring a high-quality finish while adhering to safety and environmental standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sanding, or masking as necessary.
- Operate powder coating equipment, ensuring proper application techniques are followed.
- Monitor the coating process to maintain quality control and consistency.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
- Fabricate and assemble components as needed for the coating process.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading items using a forklift.
- Utilize power tools for preparation and finishing tasks as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in machining or fabrication preferred.
- Familiarity with airless paint spraying techniques and construction painting is a plus.
- Experience in materials handling and operating forklifts safely is essential.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Previous experience in powder coating or related fields such as auto painting is advantageous but not mandatory.
