What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Maintenance Technician position at Steel Supply and Engineering?
Qualification Requirements:
o Ability to read and understand blueprints.
o Able to set up and operate a variety of machine tools.
o Able to fit and assemble parts to fabricate or repair tools and maintain industrial machines.
o Applies knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, material properties, layout, and machining procedures required.
o Observes and listens to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and determine needs for adjustments or repair.
o Dismantles machine or equipment using hand tools or power tools to examine parts for defects or to remove defective parts.
o Assembles and test operates machines to verify correction of malfunction.
o May maintain and lubricate machine tools and equipment.
o May repair or replace faulty wiring, switches or relays.
o Motivated, detail oriented and the ability to perform as a team player
o Good reading and math skills
o Strong analytical skills, mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity
o High school education or GED
o Able to read, write, and speak English
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills
o Self starter who can work with minimal supervision
Work Schedule and Environment:
o First shift (5:00 am to 4:30 pm) (very rarely Saturdays)
o Wage rate is based upon experience
o Use of protective safety equipment required
o Strong team environment.
o Results driven and goal oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
