Job Summary
Academic Coaches foster consistent, caring, and developmentally supportive relationships with students in a safe learning environment free from judgment and bias. Concurrently, Academic Coaches collaborate with the CXL Team to teach both academic and life success skills, including social and emotional awareness, organizational efficiency, and study skills.

Working Environment
The Cougar XL Academic Support program provides a supportive, academic environment for targeted 9th-12th graders transitioning from middle school to Steele Canyon High School and beyond.
Students receive assistance in all subject areas in a one-on-one or small group setting within their school day.

Scheduling Information
Part-time position: no more than 28 hours per week
Flexible hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:30 a.m. - 3:35 p.m. and Wednesday 10:00 a.m. - 3:35 p.m.
*Periodically, Coaches attend staff meetings on Wednesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
-Knowledge of all subjects, teaching techniques, and bilingual proficiency are valuable assets.
Clearance Process
