Associate veterinarian wanted for Steele Creek Animal Hospital, a well- established, fear free, feline friendly progressive, small animal hospital in Charlotte, NC, established in 1985. We are looking for a full-time GP veterinarian with surgical experience, who can work days and rotating weekends to be an extraordinary member of our team.
We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. Our facility is also equipped with digital x-ray as well as ultrasound. Our client base is exceptional and loyal.
We are equipped with a state of the art rehabilitation facility with 2 underwater treadmills, exam rooms, exercise room, laser and many other “toys” for rehab and fitness for dogs and cats.

Qualifications
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited university
- License of Veterinary medicine that is in good standing to practice in the state of North Carolina.
- The ability to make decisions and must possess strong communication skills.
- A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics
- Progressive clinical mindset that is in the best interest of the patient
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude
- Develop a rapport with clients and determine their needs and wishes; perform physical exams, diagnostic, medical, surgical, and dental procedures in a way that will deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort.
- Explain physical examination findings and communicate to the client the diagnosis of their pet's presented problems;
- Generate and present a treatment plan for the pet to the client; educate clients on preventative health care, including but not limited to vaccines and appropriate nutritional care and products.
- Maintain client and patient medical records; maintain up-to-date logs through established protocols; assist colleagues in patient discharge, follow-up care, and future management of the patient.
- Stay up-to-date with new medical information, changes in the veterinary medicine profession, and attend Continuing Education meetings and seminars.
- Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service.
- Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
