The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the success of our surgical services team at Steele Memorial Medical Center. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team in preparing the operating suite for procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of surgical instruments and supplies, reporting any discrepancies or concerns to management.
- Clean and sterilize surgical instruments to ensure proper functioning and prevent cross-contamination.
- Participate in departmental meetings and performance improvement activities, contributing to the development of quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Accredited Surgical Technologist program graduate.
- CST certification (current).
- BLS certification required.
- Prior experience in general surgery, orthopedics, OB, or urology preferred.
