Mental Health Therapist
About the Role
As a Mental Health Therapist at Steele Memorial Medical Center, you will provide essential therapy services to individuals experiencing mental health disorders consistent with diagnoses listed in the most current DSM. Your work may involve individual, couples, group, or family interactions based on patient needs. This role requires flexibility, as services are often provided by appointment, but emergency triaging and disposition are also necessary.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy services to patients with mental health disorders.
- Assess patient needs and develop treatment plans accordingly.
- Interact with community agencies, law enforcement organizations, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all services rendered.
Requirements
Education
A Master's degree in Social Work is required, along with licensure as a Clinical Social Worker in the state of Idaho.
Experience
You must have completion of 3,000 hours of post-graduate supervised clinical services and be certified/licensed in the state of Idaho. Additionally, you should have experience working 8 plus consecutive hours and demonstrate your ability to function under stress and rapidly changing conditions.
