Steeler is growing and in need of a reliable millwright.
What You’ll Do
- Collaborate with Production team members to ensure proper function of production systems, address root cause, and complete large projects.
- Perform routine maintenance, including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, Hydraulic, and pneumatic inspections.
- Install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment.
- Diagnose and repair production equipment including but not limited to pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and cranes.
- Monitor and maintain inventories of parts and supplies as needed to maintain equipment.
- Ensure that proper testing has been completed before returning equipment to production.
- Follow instructions, guidelines and procedures timely and accurately.
- Complete written records of work performed and events.
- Continually improve your knowledge and skills through teamwork, practice, and education.
- Safe and effective use of hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools; any candidate must demonstrate experience with appropriate safety and PPE requirements for each job.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and positive team attitude.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Adhere to safety rules and standards.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Must be available for scheduled overtime shifts.
- Work is indoors and outdoors in both hot and cold environments.
- Some work required in small and/or confined spaces.
- Climb ladders, walk up and down steps and work at heights.
- Willing to be part of a harassment-free work environment.
- Five (5) years’ experience in welding, fabrication, electrical and overall experience in maintaining industrial equipment.
- Electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Fabrication experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test.
