POSITION SUMMARY:
Business Intelligence Administrator should be highly skilled with a strong focus on Power BI and database query experience within the manufacturing industry. This role will be pivotal in enabling actionable insights by managing data visualization, analytics, and reporting tailored to business processes. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with a solid understanding of manufacturing operations to support data-driven decision-making across accounting, production, quality, operations, and other key areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Power BI Administration and Development:
Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports.
Administer the Power BI environment, ensuring proper configuration, governance, and security (e.g., Row-Level Security for plant-specific data access).
Optimize Power BI performance by managing data models, DAX calculations, and visualizations.
Automate and schedule data refreshes to ensure timely reporting for manufacturing operations.
Database Querying and Data Integration
Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract and transform data from manufacturing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other databases.
Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for integrating data from disparate systems
Support real-time data visualization for manufacturing metrics.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement
Work closely with departmental teams to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable reporting solutions.
Partner with accounting, production, quality, and operations teams to identify opportunities for process improvements through data insights.
Train and support users in leveraging Power BI for reporting.
Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
Monitor the performance of BI tools and address issues related to data quality, reporting accuracy, and system performance.
Continuously refine reports and dashboards to meet evolving business and operational requirements.
Stay informed about the latest trends in Power BI, data analytics, and manufacturing technologies.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 10 years of relevant work experience.
Experience in supporting business-related reporting and KPIs in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

Availability for on-call support as needed.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
