What are the responsibilities and job description for the SHEAR OPERATOR position at Steelsummit Holdings Inc?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following below. Other duties may be assigned.
Package all material processed by the Cut-to-Length line and the manual shear.
Read and understand work orders.
Prepare proper skids according to work orders.
Candidate must be qualified on the forklift and crane in order to move material and supplies safely within the warehouse.
Safely and efficiently operate air tools.
Write correct information on the skids after they are packaged.
Operate a radial arm saw safely and efficiently.
Build skids according to the PN and in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain proper 5S and housekeeping expectations within the department on a daily basis.
Calibrate tape measure on a daily basis and be able to read in inches and millimeters.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QAULIFICATIONS
High school education or GED required. Candidate must have the ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast paced production environment. Candidate must be able also to meet the physical requirements of the job including the ability to lift 50 pounds and work on your feet on a concrete floor for the entire shift. Candidate must also be able to effectively communicate with others and work well in a team environment.
