Lead Manufacturing Fabricator

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator to run our new fabrication facility. The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of metal fabrication processes with specific expertise in brake press operations and welding. This role combines hands-on fabrication skills with leadership responsibilities to ensure efficient operation of our new facility.

Responsibilities

· Oversee daily operations of the metal fabrication facility

· Operate and maintain brake presses with precision and efficiency

· Perform various metal fabrication tasks including cutting, forming, and assembly

· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders

· Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual fabrication equipment

· Maintain quality control standards for all fabricated products

· Train and mentor fabrication team members on best practices

· Coordinate workflow to maximize production efficiency

· Ensure adherence to safety standards and procedures

· Perform preventative maintenance on equipment

Requirements

· Minimum 5 years of experience in metal fabrication

· Extensive experience operating hydraulic and mechanical brake presses

· Strong knowledge of welding techniques and applications

· Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints

· Experience with various metals and gauges

· Demonstrated leadership abilities

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

· Excellent problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with tube and rod bending processes

· Familiarity with CNC programming for fabrication equipment

· Certification in welding (AWS or equivalent)

· Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

· Background in production scheduling and inventory management

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand for extended periods

· Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds

· Manual dexterity for operating fabrication equipment

· Visual acuity for reading measurements and technical documents

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
