What are the responsibilities and job description for the Social Services/ Marketing Director position at Steelville Senior Living?
Steelville Senior Living has an opening for a Social Services Director. Steelville Senior Living is a skilled nursing facility that provides short term rehab, long-term, respite, memory care, assisted living, and hospice care to elderly residents.
The Social Services Director provides support to our residents for discharge planning, financial planning and daily social service needs. The SSD also is involved in reviewing referrals for admission to our home and assisting in coordination of admissions with our staff and outside providers. Long Term Care experience is preferred to have a good understanding of who qualifies for a Skilled Nursing Facility, Medicare and Medicaid benefits, how to qualify and apply for Medicaid and help our residents and their family members understand the healthcare process. Marketing and census development are also primary functions in this role. Marketing experience is a plus but not required. Steelville Senior Living uses all electronic charting so basic computer skills are required. This position is a full time job and hours vary depending upon resident needs.
Qualifications
- One year of relevant experience in the healthcare field.
- Hold current certification of a social services designation and, if not, will complete this certification upon hiring and in a timely manner.
- Healthcare Marketing Experience
- Current CPR certification.
- Dedicated interest in assisting a senior population
