About the Role
STEER Tech is the leading automated vehicle company engineering innovative solutions to mobility issues faced by enterprises and consumers. STEER develops autonomous technology for passenger and commercial vehicles that can be applied to parking, low-speed driving, first and last-mile delivery, vehicle maintenance, fleet operations, and other custom use cases.
We are developing groundbreaking technology and working with customers throughout the country to operationalize and deploy our technology. STEER is currently looking for a field test driver to join our team.
As a Field Test Driver at STEER, you will be responsible for driving fleet vehicles and testing STEER’s autonomous driving technology. This position requires hands-on work with autonomous vehicles and is not a remote position.

Responsibilities
- Perform single- and multiple-vehicle testing scenarios as part of a team
- Build and maintain tickets pertaining to your tasks with frequent status updates
- Record detailed notes and collect substantial data from tests
- Follow preplanned testing plans precisely to accurately model and test client requirements
- Set up and troubleshoot test sites
- Work with the testing team to prioritize feature testing based on overall company goals, customer feedback, and product development roadmapPerform regular vehicle inspections and safety checks
- Maintain a clean, safe working environment
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver's license with at least six months of driving experience
- The ability to learn new skills at a nominal rate
- Able to deal with frequent change or unexpected events and works well under pressure
- Carefully follow written and/or verbal directions and ask for clarification, if necessary
- Requires minimal supervision beyond the initial explanation
- Fast learner who takes initiative with assigned and planned tasks
- Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner and works well in group problem-solving situations
- Exhibit solid rigor, discipline, and attention to detail in all work performed
- Imbibe STEER’s culture, processes, and safety procedures in all work performed
- Strict attention to detail and immaculate note-taking and data-recording skills
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues a bonus
- Familiarity with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc)
- Must be able to pass a drug test if administered

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
