What You’ll Do:
As a Material Handler – Inspection/Assembly, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Material Flow Management:
- Supply inspection lines and assembly presses with materials such as containers, pallets, partial bins, reject bins, grinding stones, and gauges.
- Efficiently stage materials and manage the outgoing flow of finished goods, including labeling, sealing, and palletizing.
- Maintain empty container kanbans (bins and boxes) to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
- Safely transport materials from inspection/assembly lines to staging areas for transfer to the warehouse.
- Inspection and Assembly Support:
- Perform visual inspection of finished parts for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Conduct minor finishing and basic assembly operations using tools such as clippers, rulers, and gauges.
- Log completed pallets and assemble them securely in designated areas.
- Operational Efficiency and Safety:
- Perform equipment changeovers to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
- Conduct routine safety checks and actively participate in the safety program.
- Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure all tasks are performed in compliance with safety protocols.
- Collaboration and Learning:
- Train other team members on unit operations when required.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve equipment or workflow issues.
What We’re Looking For:
We’re seeking candidates who demonstrate the following qualifications and attributes:
- Experience and Skills:
- Functional knowledge of English (spoken and written) and basic math skills.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools such as rulers and gauges.
- Familiarity with HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems and database input.
- Acute attention to detail, organizational skills, and visual acuity.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Patience to sit for extended periods while performing tasks.
- Willingness to work an 8-hour rotating shift schedule (overtime may be required).
- Mindset and Attributes:
- A safety-first mentality and adherence to PPE requirements (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.).
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining quality and productivity standards.
