We are seeking a dedicated Infrastructure Specialist to join our client's team, focusing on IT standards for Connectivity and Network Services, including switches, routers, access points, and firewalls.
About the Role:
As a Infrastructure Specialist, you will be the on-site expert at our client's factory, serving as the primary point of contact for all connectivity-related issues. Your role will involve close collaboration with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless equipment connections and cabling work. While you won't be configuring devices directly, your deep understanding of network operations will be crucial for troubleshooting and resolving incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support local initiatives and projects, coordinating with the central team to ensure alignment.
- Collaborate in managing and designing both logical and physical network layouts.
- Develop patching schedules for wired and wireless network equipment.
- Assist in implementing security policies on firewalls.
- Monitor network status and capacity proactively, leveraging big data insights.
- Engage with stakeholders to review and assure deliverables.
- Participate in Network Operations to maintain network availability and performance.
- Liaise with Network and Cabling providers to address business needs and operational issues.
- Assist the local Operations Team with network settings and cabling for machine installations and new product launches.
- Manage relationships with local IT Service Vendors and Partners.
What We're Looking For:
- 2-3 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field with a focus on network engineering.
- Proficient understanding of network environments (WAN, Wi-Fi, routing, switches, access points, firewalls).
- Hands-on experience with CISCO equipment and cabling (fiber, UTP cables).
- Proven track record of supporting users on-site.
- Experience in network segregation, segmentation, and security policy implementation (CISCO, Palo Alto).
- Ability to create detailed network diagrams and documentation.
- Strong grasp of network infrastructure, hardware, and server infrastructure
- (Cloud Computing experience is a plus).
- Familiarity with application transport and network infrastructure protocols.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new technologies and products.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English and the local language.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience in coordinating teams, managing projects, and vendor relationships.
- CCNA certification or equivalent experience.
- Willingness to work on-site daily, with potential for hybrid work in the future.
- Flexibility for occasional overtime and weekend work.
