Work Hours: M-F (40 hours)
Work Location: Davie, FL
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM up to 10 additional hours of overtime a week. May be asked to work on the weekends about 20%
- Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies, procedures, and state, federal and local laws.
- Has limited discretion to vary from established procedures
- Has limited work experience involving basic concepts and procedures

- Performs routine assignments in the entry level of the Professional Career Band
- Develops competence by performing structured work assignments
- Uses existing procedures to solve routine or standard problems
- Specializes in purified water systems operation and maintenance
- Familiar with PLC programming, automation, and AI technologies
- Perform automated equipment troubleshooting.
- Execute planned maintenance and corrective work orders.
- Support to equipment, utilities, and process troubleshooting / repairs.
- Responsible for multiple small projects related to new equipment, upgrades to existing equipment, facility modifications, and utility infrastructure.
- Perform technical documents, SOP updates, and change controls.
- Provides ongoing support to maintenance staff to solve complex problems, understand and coach failure modes, and prepare technical solutions on facility controls equipment.
- Will implement safe work practices and process controls to ensure a safe operation of equipment and facility. May include job hazard analysis, failure fault trees, and risk assessments to drive a preventable injury workplace and continuously safe process.
- Developed financial models to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Conducted financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting to support business objectives.
- Evaluated business performance and identified opportunities for improvement.
- Provided ad-hoc analytical support for key initiatives, including sales, operations, and capital investment efforts.
- Collaborated with cross-functional teams to develop and implement automatization strategies.
- Created and executed plans to optimize and/or improve scheduling efficiencies to meet business operations onboard.
- Able to generate and review incident deviations and investigations (GMP and EHS environment).
Core essential skill sets:
- Min 1 -3 years' experience in purified water systems operation and maintenance. - Most important
- Entry level engineer
- Experience in pharmaceutical GMP environment
- A plus - Experience in general utilities such as air handling units, compressed air, chillers, electrical, etc.
Education/Certification/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with 3 years' experience or Associate Degree with 6 years' experience within pharmaceutical or related manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of years and experience.
- 1-3 years purified water systems operation and maintenance experience.
- Experience in using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems to track the scheduling and execution of maintenance activities.
- PLC experience or certification a plus
- GMP Compliance related documentation a plus
- Project management experience a plus.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
- Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot hardware and software used on purified water systems.
- Reading and ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Communicating clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Management skills to lead a team of maintenance technicians and meet department goals and expectations.
Problem Solving:
- Works on assignments that are routine to semi-routine in nature where the ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice is required.
- Exercises judgment within specifically defined practices and policies and selects methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
- Normally provides general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignments to direct reports.
- May be asked to recommend methods and procedures for problem resolution.
Working Environment:
- Constant exposure to moving mechanical parts and/or moving equipment.
- Frequent exposure to moderate to loud noise levels.
- Frequent exposure to fumes, odors, dusts, mists and/or gasses.
- Frequent exposure to vibrations.
- Occasional exposure to wetness depends on assigned process.
- May be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed for assigned process (i.e., safety glasses, respirator, hearing protection, gloves, etc.).
