Diesel Mechanic



As a Diesel Mechanic you will support engineering during testing activities. Change instrumentation, collect data, change/modify parts through test iterations, and support engineering by instrumenting trucks for data collection.





Technician / MechanicMin. 5 years of truck service or Heavy-Duty Truck Education DiplomaBasic understanding or knowledge of Truck systems (steering, suspension, brakes, electrical, engine, transmission, drivability/handling, emissions)Heavy duty diesel diagnostics is a plus.Identify different types of instrumentation, understand application, and understand function.Support engineering by instrumenting trucks for data collection during testing activities.Change instrumentation, collect data, change/modify parts through test iterations, component testing. Must have basic PC skills - Microsoft Excel, Word, OutlookPerform vehicle retrofits including custom installations to prepare vehicles for test.Routine maintenance and inspections on class 8 vehiclesProgramming and troubleshooting of vehicle systems using service tool.
