Steffel & Omtvedt Funeral Care is currently seeking an individual licensed to practice mortuary science in Minnesota or a student currently working toward their license. Your role will encompass all aspects of funeral service from first call through aftercare as well as background work in the office and around our six properties. You’ll work alongside two family-focused owners, three long-established licensed employees, and a great team of unlicensed part-time assistants to provide each client-family a level of professional service unparalleled in our industry.
Since 1867 the residents of Waseca, MN have relied on their local funeral professionals to respond with compassion during their greatest time of need. In the 158 years since that first day, our original Waseca location has grown to include funeral home locations in Janesville and Waterville, MN. We are now proud to announce the 2025 addition of two funeral homes in Le Center, MN and Montgomery, MN.

Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate customer service to grieving families and assist them in making funeral arrangements.
- Direct funeral services, ensuring all aspects run smoothly and respectfully.
- Offer bereavement support and guidance to families during their time of loss.
- Maintain sanitation standards and oversee the preparation of the deceased.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology in handling and preparing bodies.
- Plan and coordinate memorial events, ensuring all details are attended to.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
