We are expanding our mental health and wellness services to include massage therapy as part of our grown in ancillary services. We are a moderate sized ever growing clinic seeing approximately 1200 new clients a year and established clients. Many of these clients would benefit from and are interested in massage as part of their overall wellness experience.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team in expanding our continued ancillary services for mental health and wellness. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality therapeutic massage services to clients, promoting relaxation, relieving pain, and enhancing overall well-being. This role requires a deep understanding of various massage techniques, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for clients
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of massage techniques, including but not limited to Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and prenatal massage.
- Conduct initial assessments of clients’ needs and concerns to tailor each session accordingly.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client treatments and progress.
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and provide recommendations for self-care practices.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and relaxing environment for clients before and after each session.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and maintain professional standards.
- Collaborate with other health professionals to provide comprehensive care when necessary.
- Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and continuing education opportunities
Qualifications:
- Valid state license as a Massage Therapist.
- Completion of an accredited massage therapy program
- Proven experience in a clinical or spa setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and build rapport with clients.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform massage therapy for extended periods
