Responsibilities and Duties:
- Drive delivery trucks, vans, and/or tractor-trailer to deliver product to retail accounts with the help of merchandiser and/or delivery chaser.
- Manually load and unload product from truck using a hand cart and pallet jack.
- Deliver and rotate Stein products in retail accounts.
- Build strong relationships with retailers by delivering products in a timely and efficient manner and rotating product as necessary to ensure freshness.
- Complete and submit all required paperwork, invoices, display forms, load sheets, and cash/checks within appropriate time frames.
- Ensure accurate completion of Department of Transportation checklist and report maintenance issues and accidents in a timely manner.
- Collect payment for product as required. Balance invoices with checks, cash, etc. at the end of the day and explain any variances to appropriate office staff.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- Must have acceptable driving record and valid driver’s license with Class A endorsement
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Must be able to lift 35-50 pounds routinely and up to 160 pounds
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card
- Clean appearance
