Description
I. OBJECTIVE / GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This position directs and manages the activities of the company’s sales function. This is the top sales position within the company.
II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- To meet or exceed annual sales projections.
- To manage the sales workforce to the highest levels of efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity.
- To maximize account volume and profitability.
- To maintain a high level of sales capability through effective recruiting, training, and management of subordinates.
- To plan and implement sales and marketing strategies that will enable the Company to meet its profit objectives.
- Directs the company sales, merchandising and marketing activities in accordance with company policy and procedures.
- In conjunction with the EAM, develops monthly and annual beer package and draft sales goals by brand, package and route and non-alcoholic beverages by gross revenue.
- With the appropriate Team Leads and SEC, establish monthly goals for displays, merchandising and package placement for field sales personnel.
- Make direct key account and chain account sales calls, in accordance with KAMs to develop and maintain relationships and promote Stein Distributing brands, packages, and promotions.
- Oversees KAM roles, including reviewing reset submissions.
- In cooperation with suppliers, SEC and Sales Manager develop monthly sales and incentive objectives for each salesperson and pro-sell representatives.
- Monitors individuals and departments’ actual performance to goal/budgets monthly, adjust as required to meet goals.
- Provides guidance to supervisors in setting the objectives for weekly branch sales meetings.
- Stays abreast of market trends and conducts training of subordinates to disseminate new industry information relating to market trends and the impact upon Stein’s business.
- Maintains direct contact with Brewery in conjunction with EAM representatives to receive, transmit and coordinate information relating to trade, competitive and wholesaler activities.
- In conjunction with EAM, evaluates, revises, and determines pricing levels and policies.
- Sales Forecasting Inventory Monitoring
III. SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Miscellaneous projects as assigned.
- Ensure deadlines are met.
Qualifications
- Education:

- High School Diploma.
- BS Degree in Business (preferred)

- Experience/Requirements:

Must have at least 5 years Sales experience (preferably in the beer industry)
- Computer literate (Excel, Word, Acrobat Reader).
- Good organizational & multi-tasking skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Works well with little supervision.
- Good attendance and performance record.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Craft beer industry knowledge.
- Must have an acceptable Driving Record
