Pastry Cook II
Assist in daily bakery productions during either breakfast or dinner shift while following the guidelines of the Executive and Sous Pastry Chefs. Work with strong attention to detail and Five-Star quality at all times. Learn and develop new techniques and skills through coaching and working with the Pastry Chefs while on the job to help take your career to the next level. You will play a key role in creating a memorable experience for the guests through providing a extensive variety of pastries, cakes, viennoiserie, hand-made chocolates, luxury desserts and more.
Job applicants must be able to move and lift to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of times. Availability to work weekends and holidays as business levels require.
Essential Functions:
- Actively participate in all levels of food preparation
- Requisition all necessary food and non-food items on a daily basis
- Consistently monitor sanitation and cleanliness of work station, kitchen, and equipment
- Maintain open lines of communication between peers and kitchen management
- Monitor and produce a superior product for Stein Eriksen Lodge guests according to menu specifications
- Develop knowledge of menu production and recipes originated by executive chef
- Report for shift in a clean complete uniform in a timely manner
- Adhere to company and department standards and procedures
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform work related duties as assigned
- Create innovative, cost effective special menu items as assigned
- Participate in department meetings
Education, Experience, and skills preferred:
- One year experience as a hot line cook in a progressive, fine dining establishment
- Utah State Food Handler’s Permit or Sanitation Certificate
