Job Title: Restaurant Shift Lead

Job Summary:
The Restaurant Shift Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of service during their assigned shifts. This role involves managing staff, ensuring exceptional customer service, maintaining quality standards, and driving sales. The Shift Lead will serve as a key point of contact between management and team members, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring that all operational goals are met.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Supervision:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of restaurant staff during shifts.
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to enhance performance and career growth.
- Motivate staff to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

2. Customer Service:
- Ensure that all guests receive prompt, friendly, and professional service.
- Address customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a timely manner.
- Promote a welcoming atmosphere and resolve any issues to enhance the dining experience.

3. Operational Management:
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including inventory management and cleanliness standards.
- Monitor dining area for cleanliness and safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist with managing labor costs.

4. Sales and Marketing:
- Support the implementation of promotional activities and marketing initiatives.
- Analyze sales reports and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Encourage upselling and suggestive selling techniques among staff.

5. Administrative Duties:
- Assist in cash handling, reconciling daily sales, and ensuring proper financial practices.
- Report to management on shift performance, staff issues, and operational challenges.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in the restaurant industry, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
