What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Veterinarian position at Steinbach Veterinary Hospital?
Steinbach Veterinary Hospital is a privately owned facility located in the suburbs of Philadelphia, in southern Montgomery County and we are currently seeking a full-time veterinary associate to join our team of experienced veterinarians that grew up in this area that came back to help. As a well-established hospital, we are looking to add to our diverse group of experienced and specialty doctors. With a diverse clientele and caseload, clinical rounds is practiced daily among the technical & professional staff to establish a well thought out care plan for each patient and case. Candidates would be met with a plethora of mentorship from the veterinarians on site as well as from the visiting board-certified radiologist and surgeon. The ideal candidate would possess a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and enthusiasm for practicing quality medicine, while demonstrating professionalism and a positive attitude. Our facility is well equipped with a new dental suite with dental imaging, digital x-rays, C02 Laser, therapeutic cold laser, and digital records. We have also established a relationship with a board-certified radiologist for ultrasounds, so that a non-invasive diagnostic tool can help us aid in our care. A board-certified surgeon frequents our facility, so that SVH staff and clients have access to more intricate surgery requests. SVH works with the most up to date Idexx in-house analyzers, which includes hematology, chemistry, and urine sediment analyzers, ensuring that our team can provide high quality care to each patient.
Job requirements
-Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
-License in good standing in the state of Pennsylvania or ability to become licensed
-Clinical practice experience is valued, but new grads are also encouraged to apply
