Construction Operations Support Personnel
Position Type: Temporary / Full-Time / Hourly / Non-Exempt
Location: SCI Job sites at Caterpillar
Lafayette, Indiana
Yearly Range: Up to $49,920

SCI is looking to add a reliable and hardworking Construction Support Person to our growing Team, in the Lafayette, Indiana area. This position involves assisting with various tasks on the construction site to ensure smooth operations and timely project completion.
As a Team member providing Construction Support, you will work under the jobsite Supervisor(s) and report to the Chief of Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in weekly progress meetings
- Assist with weekly job plans
- Communicate with manufacturers, subcontractors and suppliers
- Tool inventory weekly
- Pick up materials from the hardware/lumberyard.
- Safety oriented. Check on safety violations.
- Forklift experience would be valuable for unloading trucks.
- Cost code receipts.
- Progress meeting notes and possible meeting minutes.
- Make sure all paperwork forms are stocked in the trailers.
- Light housekeeping.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the site Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age and have valid driver’s license
- Reliable transportation to and from the jobsite.
- Previous experience in construction or related field is preferred but not required
- Experience with Microsoft 365 products (specifically Outlook, Word and Excel)
- Strong attention to details and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
