SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Hand Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate is a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) or Physical Therapist (PT) who has achieved the Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT). This role focuses on helping patients regain function, reduce pain, and improve their quality-of-life following injury, surgery, or chronic conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Evaluate and treat patients with conditions related to the hand and upper extremity, including fractures, tendon injuries, arthritis, nerve conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and clinical evaluations.
- Fabricate and fit custom splints/orthotics for upper extremity injuries.
- Educate patients and families on therapy goals, home exercise programs, and injury prevention.
- Collaborate closely with referring to physicians, surgeons, and other members of the healthcare team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress.
- Stay current with best practices and continuing education in hand therapy and upper extremity rehabilitation.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) or Physical Therapist (PT) in Iowa.
- Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT) preferred or willingness to obtain certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in hand and upper extremity rehabilitation preferred.
- Strong splinting skills and clinical reasoning.
- Knowledge of post-operative hand/wrist protocols and respective contraindications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and teamwork.
