Job Description
The Project Superintendent will oversee and lead crews and subcontractors, ensuring all necessary materials and equipment are ready for each assigned job. The goal is to complete projects on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality work and adhering to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Development: Create project schedules, develop budgets, and coordinate with sub-contractors to ensure a smooth construction process.
- Site Management: Ensure the jobsite is maintained in a neat and orderly condition, and that all safety rules and quality standards are enforced.
- Communication: Communicate regularly with customers, vendors, crews, and internal personnel to ensure effective project execution.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks, such as poor planning designs, government policies, and other factors that may impact the project.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5-10 years of direct supervision experience in construction.
- Thorough understanding of the plan check, permitting, and building inspection process.
- Self-driven, responsible, reliable, highly organized, and capable of proactively managing daily tasks.
- Technology skills, including experience with software programs and the Microsoft suite.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proactive problem solver, team player with a positive attitude.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Tenant improvement, ground-up, site-work superintendent, and 2 years supervisory experience.
- Advanced knowledge of construction disciplines (civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical).
- Strong interpersonal and computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and Procore.
- Able to prioritize and handle multiple projects concurrently, meeting deadlines.
