SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:
The Quality Engineer’s responsibilities include designing quality standards, control plans, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions. The Quality Engineer will also work with managers and supervisors to implement quality measures.
To be successful in this position, the Quality Engineer should have excellent troubleshooting skills and be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Developing and implementing quality standards.
· Establishing the capability of internal processes using statistically valid methods.
· Developing control plans for processes to meet quality standards.
· Developing operator based statistical process controls.
· Determine quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures
· Monitoring and analyzing quality performance.
· Prepare reports on nonconformances and corrective actions
· Inspecting and testing materials, equipment, processes, and products to ensure quality specifications are met.
· Collaborating with operations managers to develop and implement controls and improvements.
· Ensuring that workflows, processes, and products comply with safety regulations.
· Investigating and troubleshooting product or production issues.
· Developing corrective actions, solutions, and improvements.
· Reviewing codes, specifications, and processes.
· Audit our QMS based on ISO 9001:2015 requirements
Update our Quality Management System (QMS) with incidents, fixes and improvements.
Requirements
· Degree in quality, industrial, or mechanical engineering.
· 5-10 years of experience in quality engineering, quality assurance, or a similar role.
· Experience coding and using QA software tools and processes.
· Knowledge in the use and programming of CMM
· Experience of CAD/SolidWorks use is preferred.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
· Knowledge of calibration procedures and processes
· ASQ certification is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Position requires standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, and/or lifting up to 30 pounds 20% of the time.
· Ability to use standard office equipment in a manufacturing and engineering environment.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
· This position does not have any direct reports.

TRAVEL
· Travel up to 20% to between manufacturing locations and suppliers
