Sales Account Manager Essential Job Functions (Full Description)
- Maintain a continual focus on safety and injury prevention for self and co-workers, immediately addressing or bringing to management any unsafe conditions that are identified.
- Thorough understanding of customer requirements, expectations, and schedules.
- Thorough understanding of SPC's production capabilities for digital printing, offset printing, finishing, mailing, and logistics.
- Thorough technical and commercial print industry expertise.
- Thorough industry and market knowledge and insight to include key competitors, key partnerships, prospective customers, and market pricing for all print formats
- Seek and obtain new business based on SPC's operational and logistical capabilities to include but not limited to digital printing, mail services, printing, and finishing/bindery.
- Obtain detailed and accurate job specs for all new jobs, for completion of capability review, capacity review, and quoting.
- Complete capability and capacity review with operational leadership (Pre-press, Press, Post-press) for all new prospective jobs.
- Work directly with Finance team to generate costing and quotations for new business.
- Work with Finance team to complete credit check on all new clients.
- Document and communicate new job quotations to prospective clients.
- Knowledge and understanding of SPC's profitability- costs vs. customer pricing for each account.
- Monitor quality of jobs running on press and in post-press, communicating any necessary adjustments or issues to operational staff.
- Manage needs, concerns, and expectations of all customers.
- Document and communicate price increases or adjustments to customers and Finance.
- Provide Internal Sales and Finance with pricing lists for accurate billing, and verify accuracy of billing documents.
- Resolve customer billing disputes.
- Undergraduate degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Management, or other related major, or a technical degree in a related field
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience in the offset printing industry
- Current clientele portfolio
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong financial acumen
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- 4 weeks PTO to start (pro-rated for first year)
