Job Purpose: The Staff Accountant is a high functioning position that will ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial statements, assist in strategic growth objectives, and continuously improve financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will have a strong understanding of the preparation of financial statements and GAAP reporting requirements.
Essential Functions include the following.
- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries and document business transactions.
- Analyze and post transactions in multiple currencies.
- Perform monthly income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow variance analysis.
- Reconcile assigned GL accounts; investigate discrepancies and make corrections as needed.
- Assist in preparation of workpapers and footnotes for the annual audit.
- Assist in data collection and analysis for periodic audits by external audit firm and lenders.
- Assist in annual physical inventories, ensuring compliance with procedures and accurate data loaded into ERP system.
- Preparation of supporting schedules for various reporting requirements.
- Act as a backup to AP and AR.
- Ad hoc reporting as needed.
- Various other projects and tasks as assigned.

- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA a plus
- 1-3 years of experience in Accounting
- Desire to grow within the organization
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate to expert knowledge of Excel
- Ability to organize data and create reports from various sources
- Ability to coordinate and interact with multiple departments
- Superior work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information in understandable formats
- Highly organized and goal oriented
