What are the responsibilities and job description for the Geriatric Nursing Assistant Trainee position at Stella Maris?

You will become a paid hourly employee of Stella Maris, while going through our own training program to obtain your CNA/GNA License. At the conclusion of the course, and after passing your Geriatric Nursing Assistant exams, you will be registered on the Maryland Board of Nursing as a registered CNA/GNA.

Responsibilities
Classes are expected to start on June 9th and run for 10 weeks.
The class is held Monday-Friday 9:00am-4:00pm. After completion of the 10-week class, the available shifts are 7:00am-3:00pm, and 3:00pm-11:00pm with every other weekend requirement.
Requirements
- High school Diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to commit to a full time training schedule.
- Must be available Monday through Friday 9:00am-4:00pm for the entire 6-week class.
- Must be available to work every other weekend, after graduation.
- Must be available to work some holidays.
- A minimum of a 1-year commitment to Stella Maris in a full-time position is required after receiving your CNA/GNA Certifications
