Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for the operation of multiple technical sections of the Department of Pathology. This person is responsible for the management of staff and fiscal resources and assures quality laboratory service within the guidelines set by regulatory agencies. This person works with the Medical and Administrative Directors to identify and implement process improvements, optimize work flow and efficient use of resources, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards. - Other Requirements : Requirements EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Education and Work Experience : Must possess a high school diploma or GED Must possess a degree in B.S. and M.T. (ASCP) or equivalent or eligible. Must possess five (5) years of clinical laboratory experience, including supervisory / management experience required. One of the following : a B.S. and successful completion of an accredited Medical Technology Program; a B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or other laboratory based Science and ASCP accreditation or equivalent; a B.S. in Chemistry, Biology, or other laboratory based Science and 5 years experience in a licensed Clinical Laboratory.
